It's Almost Time for RootsTech 2017

In just over a week, thousands of family history lovin' people will be descending upon the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah for the biggest genealogical conference in North America: RootsTech

What's the big deal? What's so great about RootsTech?
If you like genealogy, then this is the place to be. The big deal starts off with the Keynote Speakers:
LeVar Burton, Buddy Valastro (The Cake Boss), CeCe Moore, Jonathan and Drew Scott (Property Brothers), Steve Rockwood and Liz Wiseman. Even you can't be there in person, you can watch the Keynotes Live!

Then there's the Innovator Summit. Think technology meets genealogy. My friend, Christine Woodcock of Genealogy Tours of Scotland got the inside scoop about the Innovator's Summit because she was one of several judges who got to choose the semi-finalists! Here's all the details: Innovator Summit Semi-Finalists Announced!

Then there's African Heritage Day. According to FamilySearch, it's a day of "celebration of culture, unity, and history of individuals of African descent from all over the world."

Then there's all the Classes. Did I mention the classes? Hundreds of classes for every level of genealogist: beginner to advanced. Here's the RootsTech schedule with all the class listings.

Then, of course, there is the Expo Hall with so much to see and do.

Then there's Family Discovery Day. That's right, a day where you can bring the whole family with you. It's a full day of fun, learning and cool stuff to do, all with kids in mind.

Okay, you're already registered for RootsTech but you're not quite sure how you're going to survive this massive genealogy and technology event. No worries - check out A Survival Guide to RootsTech 2017.

Even if  you can't attend RootsTech in person, you can still attend RootsTech virtually. Check out the Live Broadcast Schedule. Quite a few sessions will be live-streamed, and you can watch them right from your favourite chair at home.
