Occupation Records and Videos at Ancestry.co.uk

When I visited the Ancestry.co.uk website this morning, I was pleasantly suprised by the new videos that are available about our ancestors' occupations. Currently, there are two short videos to view on the site, with more to come.

The purpose of these videos is to highlight the new collection of occupation records that are being released at Ancestry.co.uk. The first collection is the Postal Service Appointment Books, 1737-1969. If your ancestor worked for the British Postal Service, as a postman, or in another position such as bookkeeper, sorting clerk or porter, then this is a record collection you won't want to miss.

If your ancestor was a doctor, vicar, pilot or policeman, there are a number of special collections already available on the Ancestry.co.uk site to help you research these occupations.

Ancestry.co.uk will be releasing more videos and occupation records in the next few weeks, so be sure to check back often.
