Research Services
Thank you for your interest in my Canadian genealogy work.
At this time, I do not take on individual research clients, review personal research files, analyze documents, or provide one-on-one research guidance.
That includes requests to:
- Review family trees, documents, or DNA results
- Suggest where to search next
- Confirm whether a record applies to your ancestor
- Provide research advice based on your family history problem
- Answer detailed questions about citizenship, descent, or eligibility based on family history
I know Canadian research can be confusing, especially when your family story crosses provincial, national, religious, linguistic, or historical boundaries. I also understand that recent interest in Canadian citizenship by descent has led many people to revisit their family history.
However, I am unable to provide free private research advice, and I do not accept paid client research projects.
How I Can Help
My work focuses on teaching family historians how to research Canadian ancestors for themselves through:
- Webinars
- Workshops
- Research guides
- Checklists and practical tools
- YouTube videos
These resources are designed to help you understand Canadian records, develop better research strategies, and decide what to try next in your own research.
If You Need a Professional Researcher
If you need someone to review your documents, build your family tree, evaluate evidence, or advise you on a specific research problem, I recommend hiring a professional genealogist who is currently accepting client work.
You can search for a researcher through the Association of Professional Genealogists directory:

Please Do Not Send Research Files
Please do not send family trees, document folders, DNA results, screenshots, or lengthy research summaries by email. I am unable to review them or provide individualized advice.
Thank you for understanding and respecting these boundaries.
